We are the couple behind Artisan’s Natural Goods. The story started 10 years ago when we met at a concert and became inseparable souls ever since but fast forward to a year ago, Michaela started reselling her bags and became in love with finding vintage bags, purses and boots to sell on her online boutique.

Around the same time, I (Michael) have started leather working as a hobby and part time business and we both soon ended up with a need for a leather rejuvenation solution. The treasure she would salvage from car boots and trow-away places would usually be old, dry and in need of a refurbishment. I started hand dying my leather, a process which dries the leather, and after trying different oils and solutions I needed something to bring life into my leather goods.

We did what youngsters do nowadays, Googled solutions. Most of them were full of nasty solvents and we didn’t want that, since our goods were made from veg tanned leather we wanted a natural solution. We found a few recipes of leather balms, and after trying  different ones and changing ingredients and quantities we have settled on the balm formula we use today.

Our friends and family were excited with the results and wanted more. We are proud of our balm and we are very proud we are offering an all natural leather care solution for the UK market. We are invested into bringing life into old things other people would trow away, we believe there is a place for new goods to be sold but more importantly we believe a lot of the leather goods on the market get thrown away prematurely and the society went into the habit of buying new items for short periods of time and disposing of them at the slightest signs of wear and tear. This contributes to the environmental problems we are all trying to solve. We hope by using our all natural balm our customers will bring life to their treasured leather goods and cherish them again!
