The balm, hand-made from all-natural and organic ingredients at home by myself and my partner, is safe to use, non-polluting and does not contain any nasty chemicals you will find in the mainstream leather care goods. The advantage of making it ourselves? We know exactly what goes into it: 100% pure beeswax, 100% pure cocoa butter, and 100% pure almond oil. Nothing else!

These 3 natural ingredients work on your leather goods to soften, re-moisturize, and protect the leather against the elements. Almond oil, a natural oil high in vitamins and minerals, works its way deep into the leather to regenerate the moisture inside the dry leather.

The cocoa butter softens the top layer of the leather, making it gentle to the touch, and removing any rigidity old and worn leather might have.

And finally the beeswax, not only it helps with the rejuvenation process, but most importantly the beeswax will form a layer of protection to prevent future wear on the leather. With enough layers, the leather will become water-resistant.

Due to not using anything else but natural ingredients, the balm is safe for humans and animals. Safe to use on veg-tanned leather, this formula is the perfect top coat finisher for your leather goods.

The leather balm can be used to restore and maintain shoes, bags, saddlery, handbags, belts and holsters, and any natural leather goods. This formula does not work on suede and bonded leather (also known as fake leathers, made from leather bonded with plastic)

This 1 oz/28 ml tin is quite small but should last you a few months depending on how often you use it. Please keep in mind this size (1 oz / 28 ml) is quite small. How to apply our natural leather care solution:

1. Start by cleaning the leather. Remove any dirt and grime using a brush and water
2. Let the leather dry thoroughly. It’s important the leather is dry so it can absorb as much of the leather balm as possible.
3. Start by applying a small amount of balm to the leather, preferably somewhere hidden, to test the balm. If you are happy with the results, please feel free to continue. The balm has no damaging solutions, but it will darken the leather just a bit. But don’t worry, the leather will come back to its original colour in 24 hrs.
4. Using your fingers, or a clean dry cloth, start applying the balm in small sections; a little bit goes a long way, no need to take a lot of balm on your fingers, just a small amount that naturally melts is enough.
5. Keep applying the balm bit by bit until the whole leather is covered. Do not forget to work your way into the nooks and crannies of the leather!
6. When you are happy with the results, give the leather 10-15 minutes to soak up all the leather conditioner.
7. With a clean cloth, buff off any excess leather balm from your leather, giving it a nice shine!
8. For better waterproofing results, apply more coats using the same methods.
9. Re-apply our Artisan’s Leather Balm as often as necessary or at the very least once a year for items not worn often.
